You know you can Photograph

Who knew a small 2-megapixel camera attached to a mobile phone could do so much...

Of course, there is tonnes of editing involved in terms of colour and tones and what not...

Okay...bottom and top...obviously the same photo but with adiff colour tone. Deliberately done of course with the intention of creating two complately diff atmospheres. The top one was given more colour and a little more character but by decreasing its saturation, it gave the photo a more subdued look which in return I suppose, allowed a more flowing and relaxed feel.

The bottom one sort of did the same thing but by making it almost sepia, it gave the photo a more cold look. Not a very friendly atmosphere. It's still pleasant but you'd much rather hang the top one up in your living room than the bottom one

Note the massive amount of flare in the top one...Flares arent ideal in photos and in fact, you'd be better of without them. An SLR would not have eliminated this problem but it would have definitely reduced it. But in any case, I decided to go against that common belief just for the sake of capturing the rest of the scene which was almost perfect (in my opinion anyways). Having edited the photo however, the flare managed to make that massive hole in the tree with the flares eminating from the middle...not ideal if you think of it as a giant disrupting, displaced bokeh but it in a way (to me anyways) gave the photo a more supernatural and surreal look which, although not intentional, is something I can appreciate

I just realised i have uploaded this photo before but hey....the theme in this post is obviously trees so Im just gonna leave this one up
