Subdued

Well, yes...Ive left my photos pretty wordless these past few months(more like this past year)...think I owe everyone (if there's anyone) some photo descriptions...
All the photos were taken with a Nokia E65 and obviously, quality is not as good as an SLR's. So what do you do? Use it's shortcomings to your advantage. No use whining about the fact that the pixels aren't spot on or that the noise is overwhelmingly distracting. The above photo was taken in a very dark setting hence, the amount of noise was unbelievable! So to fix that...

...turn it into a B&W. I also increased the contrast to give it a more retro look. I knew, having taken the photo, that the colour couldn't be salvaged. Why not turn it into a sepia? I felt that there was too much noise for a sepia...sepias in my opinion should have a bit of sharpness to it.

Another E65 photo....i edited it to obtain the sillohuettes. The original photo had very little colour detail on the trees and the building but yet the camera was able to pick up on the crisp detail of the trees and the rich colours of the sky. So I figured the best way to preserve those two features while eliminating the nasty colours on the trees was to increase the contrast which not only blacked out any disgusting colours but also exaggerated the rich gold colour....of course there was a bit of colour tweaking to do in terms of overall warmth of the photo...

I'm preettttyy pleased with myself I have to say =D
