From Point A to Point B
My little bit of photography on the way to town. Well it sort of maps my route from Manor Park to Guildford Park...didn't get any photos after that. It wasn't the best of days for photography as the the subdued lighting was mundanely dispersed by the "white clouds" (as BBC calls it)..at least it wasn't raining.
Manor Park structures. Red brick but far from old as you might be abe to tell from the architecture. I thought this would be a pretty interesting angle of one of the uniformly shaped buidings. However, having a double take at this photo I realised that you can't actually see the end of the road (Bottom-left corner)...slight feeling of incompleteness? I am definitely feeling it.
Oh I love this. Brings back memories of my starting days doing abstract photography (when I was ABSOLUTELY OBSSESSED with abstract photog). Basically what's happened here is that the guys who were re-tarring the roads did not do a wholy complete job. Hence the slightly strange patterns. What I do like about it is that it mimicks an arrow and so by placing the camera at an angle, depth is emphasised.
UniS building. One of the older accomms. This on-campus and honestly, it was not the best of photos. Turned it monochrome to hide the bad lighting. Seriously it was the only way. But anyways, the monochromatic colours picked up textural details which otherwise would not have been seen in colour.
Same building but I thought to monochromes of the exact same building would be just stupid. In that case, I might as well have taken just one photo.
Behold my obssession with bins. The fact that they were of different colours really was a compliment to my strange fascination with this unhygenic boxes of crap. I like the fact that something so overlooked which disgusts so many people can be fitted into a symmetrical frame. One bad thing about this photo is trees in the background. I did not consider this until I was typing this. Notice how the trees on the left are much taller than those bushes on the right. So much for symmetry but you get the picture.
