On the Streets, On the Run

Solemn Beginnings

The Buildings

So during the time in which I should have bee studying for an exam, I spent it sticking my camera out my window and looking through my massive collection of photos. Needless to say I regret my actions slightly after having sat for my exams. I have to say hoever, I was not disappointed with the shots I got and if anything I've probably rediscovered my interest in architectural photography...London, here I come!

Slightly more on the abstact  side...but who doesn't like the organised pattern of bricks (actually, not many people think about it enough to like or dislike it LOL)

Old photo which I have probably uploaded before in an earlier post. Taken with an E95(i think?) in summer 2010.

I took this with my mobile, N95 mini which has a 5 mp Carl Zeiss lens attached. Surprisingly balanced considering I was walking while taking the photo. One of the more visually-neglected buildings on campus but I am really  glad at how much this photo enunciated its structure.

Errrr.........commments??????

The Snow and Blues

I took advantage of the horrible snowfall and unbelievably treacherous icy tracks to go out on a photo walk. Most of them ended painfully but the photos were definitely worth the bruises :). I never particularly believed that the "blue-ness" portrayed in photographs of snows were real. I always believed they were somehow edited to seem that way but after having this winter to do my own snow photos I realised that the blue hues were very much enunciated in winter (or at least they were easy to enunciate with very little editing LOL)

Taken on the ice - moments after, fell on my sorry, cold ass but I think it was a good take nonetheless. I wanted to increase the contrast and sharpness of this photo slighly more but I didn't want it to look over done. I am also aware that the photo looks quite different on a desktop computer so I decided to make more subtle editing instead.

This is just one of those weird structures outside the place which I live. I was hoping to show the contrast between the post-modernist structure and the trees at the back. Obviously did not come out well mainly because both the trees and the structure are parallel to each other.

All about textures this one. What can I say?

One of those weird plants. Slightly overedited as those of you with photoscape might notice. :{/
